If I Could Have One Wish, My Wish Would Be
I don't wish for money or fame. All I ever wanted and will ever want is simple. If I were to drown, I wish to drown in a sea of books; if I were to be buried alive, I wish to be smothered by books; if I were to died in an earthquake, I want to be crushed by no other than a full bookshelf. They say that knowledge is an endless sea, yet I feel as if I'm still ashore. It won't do if all my life I knew only the Taiwan Strait. The pleasure one gets from reading is a cheap yet priceless treasure, the one and only I can afford, and the treasure that I wish for.

A Faithful Student

I am a faithful [Advanced] student. I am 37 years old, working as a music teacher in a middle school in Liaoning province. I started learning English by listening to your program in 2003. I only learned English for two and half years at school before. [Because of] all your amazing work, I [can]communicate with native English-speakers well now. I speak well, and my writing skill is also improving. I speak English in my music class, and my students admire me a lot. I have no English teachers teaching me face to face, but I have you, Studio Classroom English teachers, the excellent ones who teach me every day. I feel so lucky to encounter you, Studio Classroom magazine. I have recommended [your] magazine to a few friends; they all say it is the best English-learning magazine they have ever known. I have made great progress by listening to your program every day. Thanks again for all your wonderful work.

A Good Magazine

I [discovered] this good magazine about two months ago. After learning with it, I found it's really a good magazine. There are so many good articles in it, and they give me so many topics.
I learn a lot from it, and really enjoy the time [I spend] reading it.

Share the Happiness in English Learning

I found this magazine and began listening two years ago. My English is getting better and better. But before that, I [had] been learning English for almost 15 years! Learning is a slow, painful and exciting process. [On the English Corner,] we can share the happiness and sorrow in the journey of English learning.

Addicted to English

I'm "addicted" to English. I have to watch Studio Classroom and listen to Advanced online every day or I'll feel "sick." Too bad they don't have any programs on Sundays. I guess the teachers need a break! All the teachers here are my role models. They make learning English not so difficult, and fun! I'm lucky that I found them in 1992. We've been friends in a way for years!
