Eat More Vegetables!

Vegetables are healthy and delicious. You can cook vegetables such as cabbage or carrots. Or you can eat them raw. Lettuce and tomatoes are good in salads and on sandwiches. You can also enjoy onions on sandwiches. Or you can cook onions with meat for a nice flavor. And you can cook green beans and corn in many delicious ways.

(in the supermarket)



Sara:     Hi, Sam, what are you shopping for?



Sam:     Vegetables. I don’t eat enough of them. But I don’t really like them.



Sara:   Vegetables are good for you.



Sam:     I know. I have to eat more vegetables. How can I do that?



Sara:     Put vegetables on sandwiches. Lettuce, tomatoes and onions are great on sandwiches.



Sam:    That’s true. And I do like raw carrots.



Sara:   Those are good.



 



Conversation B  



Sam:    Raw vegetables aren’t too bad. I do eat those sometimes. Do you cook many vegetables?



Sara:     I do. You can cook vegetables such as cabbage or carrots. It’s not hard.



Sam:    What about corn?



Sara:     You can cook corn in many delicious ways. And green beans, too.



Sam:     Do you have good recipes?



Sara:     I sure do. With good recipes, you can enjoy vegetables.
